Three Ways to Maximize Your SEO on Twitter

If you’re not using Twitter to improve your marketing strategy and to maximize your internet presence, you should be.  Twitter has more than 500 million users who tweet an average of 55 million times per day.  That’s 385,000,000 tweets in a week, and so on.

Here are three tips on how to make Twitter part of your success plan:

  1.  Hire a professional SEO team.  They’re going to tell you that the “real name” (account name) you choose will be crucial to people finding you.  So, if you’re name is Frank Wilson and your business name is Acme Archery Shop, you should use this name or a variation as your account name.  It should include keywords that people are likely to search for.
  2. Hire a professional SEO team.  They’re going to tell you that your username should also be related to your business.  In fact, it should probably contain keywords from your website.  However, you only have 15 characters to work with, so your creativity may be stretched to find something that’s relevant and easy to remember. But…you have an SEO team you can tap into, as well.
  3. Hire a professional SEO team.  They’re going to tell you to maximize the use of your Twitter biography to hit on keywords and concepts.  To do this, you’ll have 160 characters, about 20 more than an average tweet.  Your bio is indexed and searched by search engines, so using the right words is very important.

Did you happen to note the emphasis on hiring a professional SEO team?  That’s because they do all this and much more on a daily basis to make their clients’ websites optimized for search engines.  Twitter is only one aspect.  There’s also Facebook and Pinterest and RSS Feeds, etc.  Don’t take a chance on missing such huge marketing opportunities like Twitter.  Rely on experts in the field to make social media work for you.
