What’s Google Panda? What did it accomplish exactly?

Purpose of Google Panda

The main purpose of Google Panda was to eliminate low quality content… especially the type of content that only existed for the sole purpose of SEO (rather than content that is truly valuable/ created for humans). For example, major blog posting networks/ ezines, in which users submitted articles that contained a backlink that pointed back to their website, were especially negatively affected. Other spammy SEO techniques such as “spinning content” were also made less effective.

How to Make Sure That Panda Doesn’t Negatively Impact Your Website

All you really have to do is make sure that you are only publishing completely unique, high quality content and that you aren’t distributing it to low quality blogs and ezines for the purpose of acquiring backlinks.

Create content that is valuable for actual humans, not search engine robots.

Google doesn’t want to be responsible for spamming up the entire web, and that’s what was happening prior to the Panda update.
